Hymn Fest in Whittier
Sunday, May 20th at 6:00pm

At our Garden Grove Hymn Fest a few months ago, the College Avenue Nazarene Worship Team led us in a few songs. On Sunday, May 20, the GGNaz Worship Team will be returning the favor by leading worship at their Hymn Fest! If you enjoy hymns and would like to attend, join us on Sunday evening, May 20 at 6:00pm at College Avenue Church of the Nazarene, 8221 S College Ave., Whittier, CA 90605.

Do you play piano?

Garden Grove Church of the Nazarene is looking for a piano player to play two weeks per month during our Sunday morning worship services serving as either accompaniment for the church choir or as a part of the worship team band, depending on the week. We’re a very diverse congregation. On any given Sunday, we might have a brand new, rhythm-driven song straight off the radio bump right up against a classic hymn. Without piano, we’re missing a whole genre of worship music that is sorely missed. Your talents will be greatly appreciated here!

The basic requirements are as follows:

• Ability to read music (in addition to chord charts)
• Basic familiarity with and ability to play hymns
• A love for people of varying levels of musical ability who love God and are willing to practice hard

Availability: Because we will only schedule piano two Sundays per month, we can be flexible with your schedule as long as you have availability at the following times:

• Sundays from 8:00 -11:00am (Each week scheduled)
• Sunday evenings from 6:00 – 7:30pm (When scheduled for Choir)
• Wednesday evenings from 6:30-8:30pm (When scheduled for Worship Team)
